Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has apologized to fellow musician Stonebwoy for his recent disparaging remarks.

The apology came a day after Stonebowy was crowned artiste of the year at the just-ended TGMA Awards.

Shatta delivered the heartfelt “x’s” on his official X account, on 2nd June 2024 at 1:09 pm. The action by Shatta Wale is seen as a major step to make peace with his few musicians.
Most times, Shatta Wale is known for his outspoken nature and controversial statements, but this time round, Shatta eats a humble pie in his “Xs,” saying “I'm very sorry I tweeted and say a lot of bad things about you for the past month. What I did was inexcusable, and it was really bad and inconsiderate of me to speak to you like that”.
Shatta continued with remorse “I apologize for hurting your feelings and I hope you will forgive me. Please know that I value you as our biggest artist very much. I promise to think before I open my mouth next time.”
However, the apology has received mixed reactions from x users. While some are commending Shatta Wale for showing maturity and taking responsibility for trying to make peace, others are skeptical given the history of Shatta Wale and how he behaves.
As of the time of publishing this post, the apology on X has gained 103k views, 180 reposts, 1.8k comments, and 25 quotes
