Rotary E Club of Ghana has held its handing-over ceremony in Accra marking a milestone in the club’s dedication to community service and impact. The event, which took place in Accra, saw Maame Ama Amonoo Amevor, a banker with First Bank Ghana, assume the presidency from the Immediate Past President, Rotarian Efua Dougan.

Present at the handing over ceremony was Florence Maame Hagan, the District Governor of Rotary District 9104, David Osei Amankwah Junior, the Immediate Past District Governor, and Past District Governor, Victor Asante.
Also present are Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Pocatello,-Idaho in the United States of America alongside several Rotarians from sister Rotary clubs in Rotary District 9104, all gathered to witness the transition of leadership and to reaffirm their commitment to the club’s mission of service above self.
Remarks by the out-going president of Rotary-E Club of Ghana
The outgoing President of the Rotary E Club of Ghana, Rotarian Efua Dougan reflected on the many achievements of the past year, highlighting the club’s community service projects. These include educational initiatives, healthcare projects, and environmental sustainability.
Projects undertaken under the year in review
Notable among them include a tree-planting project at Accra High School in Accra, the donation of nebulizers to the Ghana National College and Cape Coast School of the Deaf and Blind, and Providing financial assistance to newborn mothers at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital.

During her keynote address, the newly inducted President of the Rotary E Club of Ghana, Rotarian President Maame Ama Amonoo Amevor emphasized the club’s renewed dedication to initiating and sustaining projects that positively affect communities and improve lives.
“ This year, our theme is the magic of Rotary, we are looking to do magic in whatever service project that we want to do”- she said
Service project to be undertaken
She said the club has already introduced its flagship project which is Tulaku- a maternity health facility where the club is seeking to raise an amount of $45,000 to purchase the needed medical equipment for the center.
She called on members of the club to actively participate in achieving these goals.
District Governors remarks

For her part, the District Governor of Rotary District 9104, Florence Maame Hagan lauded the Rotary E Club of Ghana for its ongoing efforts and achievements, expressing confidence in the new leadership’s ability to further the club’s mission.
Congratulatory messages
There were congratulatory messages from the Immediate Past District Governor, David Osei Amankwah Junior, and Past District Governor, Victor Asante who joined online alongside numerous Rotarians.
Induction of new member
The ceremony was also used to induct a new member into the club while several Rotarians were awarded for their commitment and dedication to the club.

Again, other highlights at the night’s ceremony included an auction to raise funds to finance service projects.
