Jesus Hope Mission, a Christian non-governmental organization has made a cash donation to the Oncology Unit of Ridge Hospital in Accra.
Rationale for donation
This latest gesture by the Christian Ministry is aimed at providing relief to young cancer patients and assist the unit in providing critical care.
However, the beneficiaries are children who have been diagnosed with cancer and this is expected to provide a relief and ease the burden of their treatment on parents
Point of view by Executive Director of Jesus Hope Mission
Presenting the cash donation at a brief ceremony in Accra today 20th September 2024, at the hospital, the Executive Director of Jesus Hope Mission, Selikem Acolatse Apaloo said the gesture aligns with their mission of showing love and care to vulnerable individuals in society
“We believe in extending hope through action, and this is our small way of bringing comfort and care to these brave children fighting cancer,” she said
Reaction from the Ridge Hospital
Receiving the donation, on behalf of the oncologist Dr. Nihad Salifu, the Resident Oncologist at Ridge hospital Ms. Phyllis Gborsong expressed gratitude to for the timely support, noting that every contribution makes a difference in the lives of the children and their families.
“ We want to thank you for this initiative and we hope that as time goes on you will be visiting the facility” she said.
Afterward, Jesus Hope Mission used the opportunity to tour the children’s cancer unit of the Ridge Hospital.

The Jesus Hope Mission which is based in Accra Ghana’s capital has been actively involved in various charity initiatives with focused areas in education, health and the welfare of underprivileged children in Accra.
