Background
The National Democratic Congress (NDC) parliamentary candidate for Anyaa Sowutuom, Emmanuel Adotey Allotey has outlined his vision for the constituency ahead of the 7th December 2024 elections.

In an interview with Raymond News during a parliamentary candidate dialogue organized by the National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Emmanuel Adotey Allotey emphasized his commitment to addressing key issues that affect residents of Anyaa Sowutuom, including education, job creation, and infrastructure development.
Education at the Forefront for Anyaa Sowutuom
Emmanuel Adotey Allotey highlighted the importance of improving educational standards in the constituency, promising to prioritize the construction of modern schools and the provision of learning materials. He also stressed the need for enhanced teacher training and resources to ensure that students in Anyaa Sowutuom have access to quality education that equips them for future success.
The NDC parliamentary candidate revealed that he intends to set up the Anyaa Sowutuom Educational Fund which will see a serious board of trustees to ensure transparency in the distribution of the funds and fairness. He also assured of lobbying for the construction of 2 additional Senior high Schools in the constituency.
Job Creation and Economic Empowerment
Addressing the growing concern of unemployment, Emmanuel Adotey Allotey vowed to implement job creation initiatives aimed at providing sustainable livelihoods for the people. This includes supporting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), creating vocational training programs, and fostering partnerships with local businesses to increase employment opportunities. “ I already have a microfinance that I use to support the market women, I will enlarged it to support more of our women in trading”.
Infrastructure Development for Anyaa Sowutuom
The NDC candidate also pledged to push for significant infrastructure development across the constituency.
A Call for Unity and Support
Emmanuel Adotey Allotey urged residents to unite behind his vision for a better Anyaa Sowutuom, stressing that real change can only come through collective effort.
“I believe I am the right person to represent Anyaa Sowutuom in Ghana’s parliament because I have lived with everyone – the youth, the middle class, and the aged. I have lived in the constituency for well over 32 years and am well aware of the challenges we have in Anyaa Sowutuom especially our roads, drainage and education that is not really at where we want it to be, jobs for the youth as well so with all these challenges I know they are bordering the constituency. I am the right person because I have a lot of knowledge and expertise in solving these challenges. I want to lobby for two more secondary schools to be added to the only one that we have”. the NDC candidate stated.
