National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs Donate PPEs and Sanitizers To Hospital

Giving back to society creates a sense of self belonging and for persons supporting this cause, this is their way of giving back to the society. It is in this spirit that, the National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs-Ghana has extended a helping hand to the Mother and Child hospital at Gomao Fetteh Nyame Nadom Zongo- a suburb of Kasoa in the Central region of Ghana. 

The delegation led by President of National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs, Dr Lamido Sheikh Jibril Sissy accompanied by several prominent chiefs, donated essential Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs).

According to the Council, the donation of the Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) symbolizes a collective commitment to the health and well-being of the community. It is also aimed at supporting the healthcare workers in their tireless efforts to combat ongoing health crisis.

The PPEs, consisting of face masks and sanitizers will provide crucial protection for medical staff on the frontline as well as maintaining proper hand hygiene.

Expressing his gratitude, the Medical Superintendent at the Child and Mother hospital Dr. Dzodzegbe Apetorgbo was grateful for the gesture and acknowledged the Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs for their remarkable contribution. He emphasized how this act of kindness will greatly assist healthcare workers in their relentless efforts to provide quality care while ensuring their own safety.

Dr. Dzodzegbe Apetorgbo said though the hospital is doing its best to providing quality healthcare to residents of  Gomao Fetteh Nyame Nadom Zongo and its environs, the hospital is still faced with a number of challenges and called on government, corporate institutions and philanthropist to come to the aid of the hospital .

Reiterating the importance of unity and support during challenging times.

Dr Lamido Sheikh Jibril Sissy assured of the council's continuous support to the hospital.

The National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs is well-known for its commitment to the overall welfare of their respective  communities. With this recent donation, they have yet again exemplified their dedication to improving healthcare provision in the region. Their support enhances the hospital's capacity to effectively respond to the challenges posed by ongoing health crisis.

This inspiring act of generosity serves as a reminder of the power of collective action and compassionate endeavors. The Council has set an admirable precedent for other organizations and individuals to follow, as unity and cooperation have become increasingly crucial in mitigating the effects of ongoing health crisis.

As the battle against COVID-19 continues, the selfless actions of organizations like the National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs provide much-needed hope and inspiration. The National Council of Hausa Fulani Chiefs -Ghana is a Non-Governmental Organization whose mission is to improve the lives of all Hausa Fulani’s in Ghana by the preservation of culture  and peaceful coexistence. Its focus areas include education, health among others.
