Rotary Club of Accra Spintex to Invest in Community Development Programs

The Rotary Club of Accra Spintex chapter of the esteemed Rotary International organization held an investiture
ceremony
at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, as the club announced its commitment to investing in community development programs.

The event was attended by esteemed guests, including local dignitaries, business leaders, and Rotarians from sister clubs.

The investiture ceremony marked a significant milestone for the Rotary Club, which has been serving the Spintex community for over a decade. With a renewed dedication to making a lasting impact, this investment aims to create meaningful change and improve the lives of individuals across various segments of society.

The out-going President of the Rotary Club of Accra Spintex, Albert Agbemenu reflected on the many achievements of the past year, highlighting the club’s fundraising initiatives, community service projects and collaborations with sister clubs. These include educational initiatives, healthcare projects, environmental sustainability, and socioeconomic empowerment programs.

During his keynote address, the newly inducted President of the Rotary Club of Accra Spintex, Nortse Amarteifio spoke passionately about the clubs mission to promote service above self. He emphasized the importance of investing in community development programs that address critical needs and foster sustainable growth.

“As I stand here, I can be reminded about the words of Mahatma Gandhi, “Be the change you wish to see in the world”. Let us us embody this words and be the change that our world desperately needs, Let us create hope ,foster peace and champion mental health, together we can shape the future that is filled with promise, compassion and inclusivity. Together we can create a world where hope thrives and every individual has the opportunity to live a life with dignity and fulfillment .Thank you for entrusting me with this incredible honor. Let us embark on this journey together, hand in hand as we Create hope in the world’- He said.

The investiture ceremony concluded with a call to action, urging community members, businesses, and organizations to join hands with the Rotary Club in their quest for positive change and community development.
