Background

MTN Ghana has affected mobile money wallet limits and cash-out changes. These changes are set to take effect from  March 1st, 2024. According to MTN, the new changes are to enhance the MoMo experience.

MTN Ghana Makes Changes In Mobile Money Transactions

Key areas of implementation

MTN is implementing four (4) key changes. They are

1. Increase in Customer Transaction Limits.

2. Increase in Agent Transaction Limits.

3. Subscriber Cash-Out Cap Increase.

4. New Fees on Merchant to Merchant and Agent to Merchant.

According to MTN, the above changes are aimed at enhancing customer experience, ensuring sustainable growth of the ecosystem, and further helping its agents sustain their businesses.

The Strong Caution by MTN Ghana

MTN says any agent found going contrary to the above-stipulated fees will be subjected to its sanctions and disciplinary procedures.
