Qatar Airways: New Changes to Check-In and Boarding

Background

As part of measures to enhance customer experience and streamline travel processes, Qatar Airways has announced new changes to its check-in and boarding procedures. These changes are set to improve the way passengers embark on their journeys and ensure greater convenience, efficiency, and safety.

According to Qatar Airways, passengers are to arrive at least three and a half hours before their flight. There may be delays at the airport due to extra check-in procedures. Arriving early will ensure they have plenty of time to check-in safely 

Exemptions

Though the changes promise greater convenience and efficiency, it's important to note that there are selected exemptions.

1. Passengers traveling from London Heathrow (LHR), London Gatwick (LGW), Paris Charles de Gaulle (CDG), Istanbul Airport (IST), Istanbul Sabiha Gökçen Airport (SAW), Tehran (IKA) Tunis-Carthage Airport (TUN) and India should arrive at least four hours before the flight to complete check-in procedures.

2. Passengers traveling from Lagos (LOS) should arrive at least five hours before the flight to complete check-in procedures.

3. Due to construction works at Houston Airport (IAH) Terminals, passengers should arrive at least four hours before departure to check-in counters in Terminal D.

4. Qatar Airways passengers flying from Algiers International Airport (ALG) can now check in four and a half hours before their scheduled flight departure. The check-in counters will close an hour and a half before scheduled flight departures.

Looking Ahead for Qatar Airways

With the announcement of these new changes to its check-in and boarding procedures.  Qatar Airways believes this enhances customer experience and streamlines travel processes.
