
On Boxing Day, the Rotary Club of Accra Legon East spent a day at Ridge Hospital and Legon Hospital in Accra. It was to bring some smiles to children fighting cancer. Rotary says they hoped their visit would uplift the spirits of the children and provide a memorable experience.

Firstly, the Rotary Club of Accra Legon East arrived at the Ridge Hospital ready to make Boxing Day unforgettable for the children battling cancer. This was part of the club’s ongoing efforts to support and bring joy to those in need. Hence they visited the various wards and spent time with the children, engaging in activities, and distributing gifts to them.

The beneficiaries were grateful and appreciated the visit, which was expressed by the hospital staff and caregivers. The children, many bravely battling cancer, were delighted at the thoughtful gesture and the opportunity to engage in some activities with the visitors.

Shortly, after the exercise at the Ridge Hospital, members of the Rotary Club of Accra Legon East were at the Legon Hospital where a similar gesture was carried out. The hospital administration and caregivers were grateful for the gesture.

Similarly, on the 20th of December, the club undertook a similar initiative dubbed “Joyful Hearts “ where they donate stationary, food items, and toiletries to the Lifeline for Childhood Cancer Ghana of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital.
